Day 42 - Lucerne

Time to go to another place in Switzerland! Our last stop for the weekend: Lucerne. This is Sanch and Louie sharing a moment in the train.
We got to Lucerne and OMG, it's so beautiful!
While walking to the bridge, we saw a bike on the lake. HAHA.
Too bad Jackie and Sanch are dark on the picture.
Those flowers are so pretty!
While we were on the bridge, we saw a girl being carried because she was so drunk. She couldn't walk and her friends had to carry her and she was wearing really high heels.
Sanch and I tripping out on the bridge, pretending to kick and whatever.
Anton and I just enjoying the view.
4 out of the 5 on the bridge.
They say you can drink from any water fountain in Switzerland. Here I am attempting to do so.
It was a quiet Sunday so none of the shops were open. Spotted: H&M.
Hey Ells, I didn't forget you!
The three girls enjoying one of the buildings in Lucerne.
It's really fall! The leaves were so pretty. I just had to get a picture of it.
There were actual yaks when we went by the wall.
That's the view from the huge wall we climbed.
Some people from the Philippines were there too just this year!
The three of them walking along the wall.
More great views.
That's a clock that's been there since forever.
There were a bunch of animals but you couldn't touch or go near them because there was an electric fence. Trust me, I tried to.
Damn those views.
Anton having a moment, enjoying the view.
Sanch and I with the view.
Anton's tribute to his mom.
For lunch, Sanch had a traditional Swiss meal.
While I stuck to pasta.
Anton left so the four of us continued touring. We had a picture with the historical lion monument.
Then we toured the Gletschergarten.
Once upon a time, Switzerland was covered by glaciers.
That's a closeup view of shell sandstone.
We entered the glacier museum.
And found out lots of stuff about Lucerne during the Ice Age.
People threw coins on the fountain.
And we found out more things about Lucerne 20 million years ago.
Sanch = pa-cute!
I'm a bear!
We tripped out on this interactive color display.
That's a model of Lucerne. I love models.
That's a typical Swiss house.
The ceiling was really nice.
This is a picture of a Farmhouse room.
This is the Relief of Mt. Santis.
This is a Saurian skeleton from Monte San Giorgio.
This is how an early Baroque bedroom from the 18th century looked like, with teddy bears as models.
After, we super tripped out in the "Alhambra" Hall of Mirrors.
With its amazing ceiling.
We got confused.
And didn't know where to go!
That's supposed to be two images of me.
And a million more!
We climbed the Summer Terrace and enjoyed more views.
Sanch getting water from one of the Swiss fountains.
Finally, we see the Alps!
But first, we went to a church since it was All Saints Day.
It was pretty.
You can't see a view of the Alps but Sanch and I were really laughing because we could finally see it!
There: a clearer picture with our Swiss chocolate.
Hmmm... the "couple" enjoying a moment. [Sorry, inside joke between me and Sanch]
There were so many swans!
This is a dam which is currently being renovated.
But we had to leave and this is a final glimpse of the train station.
Here is an example of a bus schedule which we try to catch whenever we go home from trips.

My DARE today was to play hide and seek in the city.
Video 1: Taken by Jackie. Sanch counting until she finds me.
Video 2: Sanch looking for me... and eventually finding me!
